Well it snowed today! But it did not stay in the range of 30-35 degrees. My prediction for the weather was only half right. In fact, according to Weather.com there is a wind chill advisory in effect - the definition according to Weather.com is "... when issued wind chill temperature are expected to be a significant inconvenience to life with prolonged exposure and could lead to hazardous exposure." The temperature today was a chilly average of 20 degrees. Which felt like 5.

This is a percipation map I found on Weather.com. It is predicting the next 48 hours and as you can see there are many places getting rain around the country. Michigan and New York are getting quite the snow fall and good old Wisconsin should be getting a light dusting. I was thinking that would happen today however I would not qualify the snow fall today as a light dusting.
I think tomorrow it will be cold all day tomorrow with a temperature around- I'm thinking- 15 degrees but hopefully the sun pops out. Interesting fact I learned from my grade school weather class is the sun is closer to the earth during winter solstice.

The weather today was, according to Weather.com, 35! Which means I guessed correctly. There was no precipitation today in the Eau Claire area, that I noticed. But it was dangerously icy. I think it was the temperture  fluctuating right between 30 - 35 degrees fahrenheit. It was a frozen slush outside- the worst combination ever.

According to this map, from Weather.com it looks like Eau Claire will get a little snow in the future. The temperature looks like it will hang right around the high 20s low 30s tomorrow. Which means there is a chance we could anywhere from a dusting to a few inches.

Post 2

This is my second weather post.

Today it was cloudy yet warmer then it has been the last few days. The cloud coverage was been quite thick. There was very little rain that I noticed today and the radar, that came from Weather.com, shows next to nothing for our area.

I was not outside a lot today but I think the wind might of been coming from the South. There did not seem like a lot of wind for me - just crossing the bridge. But I should check that more tomorrow.

I was pretty sure yesterday that today it would continue in the awful pattern from Sunday, snow and rain - snow then rain again and I was wrong it was warmer then it had been the last few days. I was walking through a lot of slush as opposed to ice.  I think the forecast for tomorrow will be a high of 30 based on the weather patterns today and still cloudy.

This is my first weather blog!

This morning when I woke up it was snowing and hailing. My roommate and I usually like to take pictures off our balcony and today was no exception. I took three pictures of the weather change during the course of the day- those are above. It went from a snowing and hailing to snowing to heavy snow and now it is back to rain and the forecast according to Weather.com is snow tonight.

Little did I know before checking Weather.com, we are in the middle of winter storm Luna. I have herd of naming tropical storms before, but never winter storms. Therefore I did what research I could to find more about these storms. Naming them is relatively new, Weather.com states there "goal is to better communicate the threat and timing of the significant impact that accompany these events... a storm with a name is easier to follow [and allows for] more preparation."

The cloud coverage today is very full, (a little unscientific but this is my first blog). I did not see the sun out at all and the cloud cover forecast, according to Weather.com, shows many clouds over the Midwest.

As for tomorrows forecast I think it will be more of the same because this weather pattern has been happening all day and is now classified into a weather storm I think the cycle will continue at least until tomorrow.
